README.txt file for the daily nowcast of solar irradiances and E10.7 from the SOLAR2000 Operational Grade model. Space Environment Techmologies (SET) - SpaceWx Division (14 Jun 2006) . - For assistance in SOLAR2000, contact Kent Tobiska at ktobiska@spacenvironment.net (CEO, Chief Scientist) or Dave Bouwer at dbouwer@spacenvironment.net (Chief Engineer). - Note that high-resolution forecast products are available from SET: contact Kent Tobiska. - Nowcast products are also available on the http://www.sec.noaa.gov/ftpmenu/lists/spacewx.html - Nowcast and Forecast products are backed up indefinitely. ---- About SOLAR2000 files -------------------------------------------------------------------- The following files are nowcast and forecast products from the SOLAR2000 Operational Grade V*.** model. The forecast is for the beginning to the end of the current 24-hour period epoch. However, SOLAR2000 runs every hour to make sure it is current as soon as a new daily proxy index is received. A RunStatusCode field in the swdsNowcast.txt file contains the run status echoed at the SEC forecast operations monitor: Anything with a (or a "Yel" or "Red" color code) indicates a problem in the run that will soon be addressed (try again at least an hour later, looking for a RunStatusCode less than 3 (or a "Gre" status). e107_nowcast.jpg - Todays (and past 54-days) E10.7 plot e107_nowcast.txt - Todays (and past 54-days) ASCII file e107_trend_plot.jpg - Approximately the past 10 years of E10.7, coronal, and chromospheric data readme.txt - This file readme_swds.txt - The data definition specification for swdsNowcast.txt s2k_1d_forecast.jpg - Todays (and past 54-days) E10.7 plot (with 1-day forecast) swdsNowcast.txt - Current SOLAR2000 input and output data (hourly cadence) In some cases the following files are available: s2k_YYYY_MM_DD_HH_MM_out.txt - Nowcast F10.7, Lyman-alpha, E10.7, and S s2k_YYYY_MM_DD_HH_MM_val.txt - Validation report of E10.7 for the current epoch s2k_YYYY_MM_DD_HH_MM_tsi.txt - Solar irradiances 1-1,000,000 nm (W/m2), 1 nm bins s2k_YYYY_MM_DD_HH_MM_FvsEc_1.jpg - Comparison of forecast F10.7 and E10.7 indices s2k_YYYY_MM_DD_HH_MM_spect_2.jpg - Nowcast solar spectra (full spectrum, EUV) s2k_YYYY_MM_DD_HH_MM_solar_3.jpg - Solar spectrum, coronal, chromospheric inputs s2k_YYYY_MM_DD_HH_MM_valid_1.jpg - Nowcast vs historical E10.7 indices s2k_YYYY_MM_DD_HH_MM_runStatus.txt - The run status, "Gre" indicates nominal operation Input proxies to the SOLAR2000 Operational Grade model V*.** are currently obtained from: (1) the Penticton 10.7 cm flux (2800 MHz) as reported by NOAA/SEC, and (2) the NOAA-16 SBUV MgII center-to-wing ratio (Rodney Viereck at NOAA/SEC is PI: Rodney.Viereck@noaa.gov). ---- About SOLAR2000-related products----------------------------------------------------------- The SOLAR2000 Daily Nowcast Solar Irradiances and E10.7 are a joint product of SET/SpaceWx and the NOAA Space Environment Center. These operational data are produced through a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) signed on May 2, 2000 by both parties. Liabilities and authorized uses are described in the CRADA. The NOAA/SEC CRADA point of contact for the Space Environment SOLAR2000 is Dr. Rodney Viereck (Rodney.Viereck@noaa.gov). - All rights are reserved by SET/SpaceWx: see the following license agreement. - Please read the SOLAR2000 Contract Grade model "LICENSE AGREEMENT" section below for further limitations. - Additional information about SpaceWx and the SOLAR2000 model, including a downloadable IDL GUI application for the Research Grade model, can be found at http://SpaceWx.com. ========================================================================= SOLAR2000 LICENSE AGREEMENT SOLAR2000 Research Grade V*.** empirical solar irradiance model products. ========================================================================= This is a legal agreement between you, SpaceWx, a division of Space Environment Technologies (collectively referred to herein as "SET/SpaceWx"), and W.
