These additional models are either on the SpaceWx web site (EUV97, EUV91), or on the LASP site (SERF1, EUVAC)

Tom Woods (LASP, University of Colorado) has graciously made these models available:

EUV97 is a precursor to SOLAR2000, and models daily irradiances from 1947 to the end of solar cycle 23 at 0.1 nm resolution.  Lyman-a is used as the chromospheric proxy and F10.7 is used as the coronal proxy.

EUV97 Files

Source Code IDL: EUV97.PRO (requires software from Research Systems, Inc.)

Fortran 77: EUV97.FOR

Data Files

 ASCII text files

Documentation
  • Revisions: EUV97.DOC
  • Solar Physics paper (Tobiska, W.K. and F.G. Eparvier, EUV97: Improvements to EUV irradiance modeling in the soft X-rays and FUV, Solar Phys., 177, 147-159, 1998.)

Note: Both the IDL and FORTRAN versions of EUV97 (including data files) - were corrected and updated (see notes in IDL version) on 16 Nov 1999.

EUV91 Files

Documentation   euv91.doc

Note: In the case of the SpaceWx models (EUV97, EUV91), they are displayed as simple ASCII text in the web browser: simply do a 'Save As' option in the browser, or cut & paste from the browser window to your text editor. Then, for the filename (depending on your computer's operating system environment), remove the .html extension, and replace it with a '_xyz' extension using the filenames displayed in the following tables. For example:

EUV7_Doc.html

EUV97.doc (or .txt)

EUV97_f77.html

EUV97.f77 (or .for, .f)

EUV97coef.html

EUV97coef.txt

euv97index0.thml

euv97index0.dat

euv97index1.thml

euv97index1.dat

euv97index2.thml

euv97index2.dat

euv97index3.thml

euv97index3.dat
